Nutrition & Food Policy
Nutrition Policy: Parents are required to provide a mid-morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack for their child. If desired, children arriving early may bring a healthy breakfast, provided it aligns with the daycare's allergy guidelines.
School-aged children must bring lunch and snacks year-round.
We encourage all food items to be healthy choices, such as milk, water, or 100% fruit juice. Our goal is to help children recognize and understand healthy food groups, and we encourage families to reinforce these concepts at home as well.
Parents are responsible for providing all meals and snacks for their child each day.
Please ensure that:
Food is packed in clearly labeled containers
Items are ready to serve (cut, peeled, or prepared as needed)
Lunches follow safe food‑handling guidelines
An ice pack is included if needed to keep food fresh
We are unable to heat or cook food on site.
Please avoid sending items that contain nuts or other allergens as required by our allergy‑safety guidelines.
Open Door Policy:
Parents are welcome to visit anytime during their child’s attendance and participate in activities, provided it does not disrupt the scheduled programming. We also encourage families to share their hobbies or talents with the children. Please limit phone calls and visits to business hours (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday). Phone calls and messages will be responded to during these hours only.
Inclusion Policy
We welcome all children and strive to create an inclusive environment. Children with special needs will be provided with necessary modifications to participate in activities. We work closely with parents and external professionals to meet each child’s unique needs and ensure successful inclusion.
